Hello!
Life notes of our
father, Mr.K.Viswalingam 'Another personality Mr.K.Viswalingam 75* !!!' I would
like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Sivasamy Peraman, the senior
pioneer Tamil writer of Singapore and Chief Author of Tamil Amutham Literary
Magazine, who wrote history on the title, his wife Mrs.Chandra for his approval
and help, and to Mr.So.V.Thamizhmaraiyan, a devoted Tamil devotee friend of
Singapore who helped in every way.
It is significant
that the author Mr. Sivasamy Peraman wrote and compiled the life history of
Late.Mrs.Kasthuri Amma in an article entitled 'Madam.Kasthuri and Women's
Upliftment...' in the last year 2019, which was later published in Dailythanti
newspaper.
Father is only 73
years old now, however, no one in our family usually celebrates birthdays, so I
am happy to present the life notes compiled as a historical document by
planning to celebrate each day of the four years 73*, 74, 75 & 76 as a platinum jubilee 75th birthday. Thanks...
Father! Platinum Jubilee
75th Happy Birthday !!!
With memories...

Engineer
Mr.Balakrishnan, a friend who has been living with his family in Singapore for
about twenty years, has a wealth of experience in the construction industry,
and written about him in the two books 'Parinaamam' and 'Thodarum Parinaamam',
which are subtitled 'The story of an individual - Oru Thanimanithanin Kathai', written by the diligent
efforts of Mr.Balakrishnan. We learned a lot and were very happy.
He is a multi-racial
democrat who works with Tamil organizations and is progressive.
In the upcoming month
of January 2024, his father Mr. K. Viswalingam would like to commemorate his
75th birthday by presenting and compiling his life notes from time to time.
Based on that 'Another personality Mr.K.Viswalingam 75* !!!' I am proud to
present an article titled
Happy Platinum
jubilee 75th Birthday to Great Man !!!
Mr. K.Viswalingam and
Mrs.Kasthuri Ammaiyar, who came to Singapore in March 2019, visited the Tamils
Representative Council Multipurpose Co-operative Society office with their
families and heard and appreciated the work of the members and the
Thiruvalluvar Tamil Valarchi Kazhagam. Along with family welfare, the efforts
of both who served public welfare should continue; will continue.

On 18-01-1949, the seventh son of
his father Late.Mr.P.Krishnan and mother Late.Mrs.K.Bakkiyam, a native of
Sundipallam village , Jayankondam Taluk, Ariyalur District. His brothers Late.Mr.Periyasamy
Janaki, Late.Mr.Samikannu Pichammal, Mr.Nagarajan Kamalam and sisters
Late.Mrs.Meenakshi Swaminathan, Late.Mrs.Visalakshi Raman and Late.Mrs.Ambujam
Krishnan were six siblings.
The Indian nation began
to breathe the air of freedom, not only Mr.K.Viswalingam's family, but the
entire village was toiling in the clutches of poverty.
Such was the life of
the common people in India at that time. Mr.K.Viswalingam's father,
Late.Mr.P.Krishnan, owned a considerable amount of agricultural land. However,
the reason for the poor environment is that the earth always had trusted with
water from the sky source. The land itself is now a place of value, handed down
to descendants over time.
In a family whose parents worked as small-scale farmers and wage laborers, Mr.K.Viswalingam was the only one who studied up to class 10 due to his father's strictness and his mother's caress, and then dropped out.
Mr.K.Viswalingam's
father, Late.Mr.P.Krishnan had a remarkable school education in those days.
That's why he was nicknamed 'Pallikoodaththar'. Realizing the benefits of
education, he scolded the last son to study well and worked for that hard. His
mother Late.K.Pakkiyam is also a hard worker and can go to agricultural work.
Maharasi, who had seven children, should guarantee at least two meals a day for
all, despite the persistent poverty; Confirmed.
Late.Mr.P.Krishnan's
father's name is Late.Mr.Parattaiyan. The family group including Late.Mr.Parattaiyan
is also known as 'Vaanaraththaan family'.
Mr.K.Viswalingam was
interested in watching movies for entertainment in the environment where he
traveled like other minors to work as a wage earner, drive a plate rickshaw, to
work in a grocery store, in the grip of poverty and hunger. Mr.K.Viswalingam
gratefully remembers that his cousin Late.Mr.Singharam, who was in Kumbakonam,
helped many people including himself by getting small jobs such as driving a
flat rickshaw.
Being a fan of ardent
Nadigar Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan, he never fails to watch movies of any actor
including Puratchi Thalaivar MGR. He used to go to nearby towns like
Meensurutty, Jayankondam, Kattumannarkoil, and Kumbakonam with his village
friends on foot and on rented bicycles and return home after watching movies.
Not only for him but also for the public, the only form of entertainment at
that time was watching movies. For example, the practice of going to theaters
as a family in a bullock cart was widespread.
The days of poverty,
hard work, and the illusion of cinema in youth have passed...
One day in 1971, a
call-up letter arrives stating that there will be recruitment in the army in
the month of May. After going to Trichy, which is about a hundred kilometers
away, for training and tests, his relative, Keezhachengalmedu Late.Mr.Arumugam Uncle's advice was effectively engaged and returned home,
in the next month, the work-related training call order is coming. On July 2,
1971, he went to Bangalore to bid farewell to his family in a flood of joy and
underwent a six-month training session; and was selected. After being selected
he gets the appointment order and as the first step toward success, he started
his career as a guard in the Central Industrial Security Force in Kolkata Port
in January 1972 with various dreams for the future.
The khaki-colored pant
was the first pant worn by Mr.K.Viswalingam in his life, a uniform issued by
the Central Industrial Security Force. After sending the first month's salary
to his parents, he bought himself black pants, a striped red shirt, and a pair
of white canvas shoes and made his dream come true.
In the '70s, the dream
of a working-class Indian youth, who usually wears trousers, lungis, and
dhotis, begins with wearing pants, which shows the status of the entire social
life.
Married on 05-12-1973,
with Late.Mrs.Kasthuri, the youngest daughter of Late.Mr.V.Arumugam and Late.Mrs.Pichammal of
Reddiyur village, Kattumannarkoil circle, Cuddalore district. Reddiyur village
is five to six miles away from his native village. Late.Mr.Arumugam and
Late.Mrs. Pichammal have two daughters. The eldest of them, Mr.Rosepattu, is
married to Mr.A.Masilamani, the son of his maternal uncle, and lives in
Reddiyur. Mr.K.Viswalingam has a family blessed with brothers-in-law,
Late.Mr.Perumal, Late.Mr.Duraisamy, Mr.Sivasamy, Late.Mr.Radha , Mr.Murali ,
Mr.Kannan and Mr.Kolanji.
Marriage life begins in
Manali, Chennai, with dreams Mr.K.Viswalingam and Late.Mrs.Kasthuri gives birth
to three sons.
Over time, the
Viswalingam Kasthuri couple raised their three sons to become engineering
graduates in austere conditions.
The eldest son, Mr.Balakrishnan,
who is an engineer, lives in Singapore with his family, daughter-in-law
Mrs.Kavitha and granddaughter Miss.Nila. The family lives in Tirunelveli with
daughter-in-law Mrs.Dhanalakshmi, granddaughter Miss.Harini, grandson Mr.Johan
and second son, Mr. Ravikumar, is a computer engineer, and the third son,
Mr.Shanmugam, is working as a software expert at Infosys in Chennai.
On the one hand, the
number of family members continues to grow, on the other, mother, mother-
in-law, father, father- in-law, and siblings continue to aged and passed away.
Since Mr. K.
Viswalingam's work was a central government job, he had to go and work in many
parts of India.

Central Industrial
Security Force is one of the subordinate military forces. And although he has
faced various challenges and adventures in various workplaces such as civil
unrest, election work, and parliamentary security work.
Recalled by him, Proudly involved to had security for former
President of India, Late.Dr.Shankar Dayal Sharma, former Prime Minister of
India, Late.Mr.P.V.Narasimha Rao, and Mr. Balan K.Nair IPS, Ex.SSP etc.,
Also recalled a
long-standing friendship of Mr. Srinivasan Ex.DC, KKNPP and Mr. Sampath Ex.AC
and NLC amidst various friendships.
He has served the
nation for 33 years in a row and won three remarkable medals and a sectoral
reward for courageously thwarting a remarkable kidnapping incident as a
contribution to the security of his motherland.
According to the course
of the central government work, they traveled to various northern states and
realized and followed the diversity of India and the language, culture, and
customs of India. During Diwali and school summer vacations, he used to go with
the family to their native. With all the special features of the respective
celebrations, on days like Diwali, they buy a lot of firecrackers and light
them along with their neighbors, especially Mr.K.Viswalingam who has an
insatiable interest in bursting firecrackers even today.
Mr.K.Viswalingam was an
honest officer who performed challenging tasks with excellence and gradually
got promotions quickly and continued to work efficiently and proudly as
Sub-Inspector.
In the towns where he
worked, it was customary for Mr.K.Viswalingam with his family to visit his
circle of friends and the homes of his officers and meet them on festivals and
weekends and receive their greetings and entertain them in the same way.
'Bakkiyam Illam',
started in 1991 by Mr.K.Viswalingam, was completed as a storied house in 1999
amid ten years of economic crisis and was celebrated with a grand housewarming
ceremony.
Krishnan - Bakkiyam
Samadhi and Bakkiyam House, raised by Mr.K.Viswalingam, were all built from his
own fired brick kiln. Bricks and tiles fired in that brick kiln were also used
by other relatives to help build houses. Bakkiyam and Krishnan are the names of
Mr. K.Viswalingam's mother and father.
The main reason for the
economic crisis was that the eldest son Mr.Balakrishnan and the next son
Mr.Ravikumar studied in a self-financing engineering college at the same time
and at the same time started building a house in their native village.
For the education of
his children that Mr.K.Viswalingam sold all his small agricultural lands on
'Mamaraththu kollai' located in the middle of the village and 'Naththam
Porampokku' located on Jayankondam Road. He gave back the lands he had bought
at Sundipallam, Reddiyur as Pokkiyam and the lands maintained by Brother
K.Nagarajan and Brother A.Masilamani along with other reasons, and left
agriculture completely.
Later on, the site was
acquired under the National Highways Department's NH45C road widening project.
So, Bakkiyam House was demolished in 2018. In the same year, amid the space
crunch, 'Bakkiyam House' was rebuilt by Sir.Mr.K.Viswalingam and stands tall in
his native.
After working as an
inspector in the Central Industrial Security Force, and living in his native
village from retirement, he realized the need and promoted small businesses
with excellence. At the same time, he continues to provide his best
participation and activity in the social and political arena.
He had great respect,
for the founder of the Human Rights Party of India, Late.Mr.L.ELaiyaperumal
Ex.MP, who contributed to the dawning of the downtrodden people in Tamil Nadu,
India. And he is supporting and encourages the ideas and activities of the
leader of the Liberation Tigers Party, Ezhuchiththamizhar Thol.Thirumavalavan
MP, who is actively promoting the politics of the poor.
In March 2019, who had
come to visit the family of his eldest son living in Singapore, he met
Mr.So.V.Thamizhmaraiyan, a dedicated Tamil devotee of Singapore, to pay his
respects and exchanged greetings. And praised the lifestyle of
Mr.K.Viswalingam, who is serving the welfare of the family and for public
welfare, and every family head should follow.
It was in this
situation that the news that Late.Madam.Kasthuri, the wife of
Sir.Mr.K.Viswalingam, died suddenly at the age of 64 on 29-12-2020 at 10:40 am.
The funeral and
cremation took place on 30-12-2020 at 05:00 PM with the support of family and
relatives.
Farewell to
Madam.Kasthuri !!!
On 17-12-2021, on the occasion of the close of one year
after the death of Madam.Kasthuri, Tithi rituals were performed by the
relatives in her native village Sundipallam, and then the memory of Madam is
being honored as the first year anniversary.
After the death of his
wife, Mr.K.Viswalingam, who is a symbol of the ideal family man who is in
constant grief, even though he occasionally suffers from minor health problems
due to his old age, Even today, even at the age of 73, he wakes up early in the
morning, takes a walk, bathes and gets ready for crawl, looking at the
newspaper of the day.
May each of them get
the qualities they need and become successful in family life by reading him !!!
